Workshop Operando in Photocatalysis
16 décembre 2026 à Paris

16 décembre 2026

FIAP, 30 rue Cabanis, 75014 Paris
(Salle Sydney)

DESCRIPTION IN ENGLISH
Operando in Photocatalysis
The “Operando in Photocatalysis” workshop is the second of four workshops organized jointly by the PEPR LUMA and PEPR SPLEEN. It will take place on December 16, 2026, from 9:30 to 17:30, at Salle Sydney, FIAP, 30 Rue Cabanis, 75014 Paris.
The workshop will bring together French researchers working across a broad range of spectroscopic and analytical techniques, including UV–Vis, IR, Raman, NMR, EPR, X-ray-based methods, and microscopy, to explore how operando approaches can be used to monitor photocatalytic systems under working conditions, elucidate reaction mechanisms, and guide the rational design of more efficient and robust photocatalysts.
Open to both established and early-career researchers, the workshop aims to provide an opportunity to discover state-of-the-art approaches, exchange methodological expertise, and identify opportunities for collaboration within the broader French photocatalysis community.
The program will feature six invited talks complemented by two interactive round-table discussions addressing key questions in operando spectroscopy:
- “Ex situ, In situ, Operando: When, How, and Why?”
- “Constraints, Artifacts, and Opportunities in Operando Spectroscopy”
The workshop will provide a forum for open discussion on both the potential and limitations of operando techniques, with a particular focus on how these approaches can advance our understanding and design of photocatalytic systems.
The workshop will be conducted entirely in English to facilitate participation by international early-career researchers. Lunch and refreshments, including morning and afternoon snacks, will be provided to participants.
